Is 5g a thing Telus is currently working on implementing? I'm looking forward to having faster connection speeds in the next... Isn't it like 3 to 5 years? Somewhere in that range.

Yes, Telus has been testing 5G networks for about a year now. The best place to learn about what's happening is at sites such as iPhone In Canada, or Mobile Syrup.

It might take a lot longer if TELUS needs to rip out all the Huawei 5G equipment and find replacement technology.

@xray

They would most likely go on using Nokia 5G technology instead if need be.

Yes, not to many choices. It would almost be starting from scratch on all their testing however.

2022-2024 is more than likely Canada's ETA for true 5G.  Whether or not Rogers does what AT&T did with the whole "5GE" mess they are being sued over...  We shall see.  Changing the 4G LTE icon to 5GE though isn't how 5G works.  😛

If AT&T was going to lie they should have gone all out and jump to 6GE.
