Welcome @arvin1x: Hey! arvin1x -We've the same Avatar-noticed that a Beard, Huha!..So you've a Phone-locked and want to Unlocked, isn't it?..Every Cellphone use its favorite Network, which is normally locked into the phone's own electronics, not in the SIMcard. @arvin1x - to get the network "Unlocking-code" You need to ask for it @TELUS support or dial *611 - Cost $35.00 ea.unlocking.
After the unlocking-code it's been entered the user, can operate the phone, with any valid SIMcard, supplied by a wireless carrier. Some websites online & shops offer a phone-unlock services for a fee, but may invalidate the service agreement...Here's a link for additional info..Report results to forum - Thanks "v9"

Eligibility
Device unlocking applies to TELUS postpaid and prepaid SIM-based devices that operate on our Mike, and 4G networks. For subsidized devices, you must ensure that your device has been on the TELUS network for a minimum of 90 days and that your account is up to date and in good standing. If you have purchased your phone outright or do not have an outstanding Device Balance, the device can be unlocked immediately. A one-time fee will apply.
Rates
A $35 fee will be applied to your TELUS account.
