Live in Surrey, have iphone4 service.
Will be working temporarily in Chilliwack for 5 months.
Will my usage cost increase if I use this phone as my
primary device while living in Chilliwack?

If this is a Telus phone.... there is NO roaming charges as it's part of your monthly plan.
If you a have a discount carrier's plan.... there will be roaming charges.

Depending on who you call, some of the numbers which are local to you in Surrey may becone long distance calls from Chilliwack.
Also, if Chilliwack is outside the Surrey Local calling area, you would pay LD on any calls you recieve.

Good point.... forgot about long distance. You will be staying with Telus, but may be subject to LD instead of roaming charges.
I recommend contacting Telus for the rates. If you plan to be a heavy user... Telus does offer add-on packages...

There's also calling cards and VOIP to extend your savings.
