how many apps can i get rid of that comes with this device.i use as a phone mostly not into all this computer stuff that comes with it . wants to update all the time.it wastes a lot of my storge on phone.

You can remove the apps like Dropbox, TuneIn Radio, Soundhound, Polaris Office, and Facebook/Twitter (though I can't remember if those 2 are pre-installed). I believe the Kid Mode and Jetcet Print are not unable to be uninstalled though.

 

All things considered, even if you were to tally up the filesize of all of the pre-installed applications it wouldn't add up to any significant size, likely less than a couple hundred MB.

For the pre-installed apps that you can't uninstall:

 

1) Settings->Apps->All

2) Find and select the app

3) Click on the Disable button.

 

You will no longer see the app on the app menu and you will not get update notifications for that app.

Follow the same instructions to Enable the app again if you change your mind.
