Trying to find a powerful "budget" phone

I'm looking for a phone similar in price range and specifications to the Elephone P8000 that will work with Telus

Any help would be appreciated

Buy an actual brand name phone, samsung, lg, etc. All these cheap china phones i wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. There is zero security in mind when you buy it let alone upgrades to the software for it, plus most these junk phones are limited to 3g even if you have a LTE plan.

If I wanted to get a brand name phone I wouldn't be asking this question though. Also, it's mostly just Telus and bell that these phones are restricted to 3G on. I'm essentially making one lady attempt to find some compatibility before I change carriers.

Android Authority says the P8000 doesn't work in the US, and in the comments, one person says it doesn't work in Canada.

Just wondering... did you get a chance to try the phone out?  I have a budget phone and found...

-the android OS is "forked".  So some apps like Optik on the Go would not work.

-the touch screen is not responsive.... some times I need to tap over and over again

-it's kinda slow to load apps

You should try the budget phone at a retailer before purchasing.
