Not exactly optimistic about it.  The leaked pictures point to a launch as AT&T exclusive in the US.  If a phone gets launched as an exclusive with AT&T in the US, which carrier would you typically associate with regarding its corresponding launch in Canada?

(I won't mention the "R" word here on this forum. Man Tongue)

Fair enough,  more then likely I will not be jumping ship, but it did get a fast response. I know with Telus I get reception where as the little companies and the two other major ones seem to be spotty in areas.

I am not so interested in the 41mp camera as I am in the quad core because if I have to lock into a contract for another 3 years I was to make sure I have a camera that will evolve with the technology for at least the next month when I get it.

I highly doubt that it will have a quad core. Windows phone is highly optimized for what they have right now (1.5ghz S4 pro, 1 gig ram) if they change anything at all it will probably be 2 gigs of ram which should help smooth the device.

So far it just a rumor but Nokia is rumored to be the first to release a quad core for the Windows Phone 8 brand.   The have been posted about Nokia also testing a quad core Windows phone.  Microsoft also is releasing an update to Windows Phone 8 which optimizes the OS for 1080P Resolution and quad core support.   This update should be released with Microsoft s Windows 8 Blue update.

it is a dual core snapdragon S4 (same as in 920). Other features include 41mp OIS backlit sensor camera, 2gb RAM, 32gb internal storage (Telefonica has a 64gb model), Gorilla Glass 3 and a 2000mAh battery.

I am really hoping Telus gets this device as well at a good price. Rogers got the 920 while Bell and Telus got the incredibly underachieving Ativ S. Anyone who buys WP is looking for either Nokia or HTC, but really just Nokia.

Also, I find it really interesting how Telus picks up the top Android phones (HTC One, SGS4), the latest and greatest iPhone, even the latest top blackberries (seriously), but all they offer on WP is the 610 and the Ativ S.

Unimpressed. Utterly, utterly unimpressed.

TELUS!!! Get with the Windows Phones already!! I need to upgrade my W7.8 Nokia800. Three devices released with Windows Phone8, Telus chooses the least capable among them... The Samsung... and wonders why nobody buys any!

HTC or Nokia!  Let's go Telus!!! I need a new phone!

$725 outright from TELUS - they wouldn't price match. Bought it from Rogers for $599 + tax, unlocked it or $15 from cellunlocker.net, works perfectly and is amazing. Both TELUS and Rogers use the RM-877 if you were wondering.
