My LG shine c710h lost communication during a firmware update and is locked in emergency call only

While using LG Suite IV to do an update on my phone, the PC lost communication with the phone and is now locked in yellow emergency call only,   Followed the directions LG Suite gave, googled for solutions, nothing seems to be working, hoping someone else had this problem? And resolved it?  We are close to 2 hours from a Telus store so If I don't find a solution, it will have to wait for 2 weeks.
