Just Moved In

Hello,

I'm moving to Australia in a couple months and trying to find out if Telus's iPhone 5 would work there or if any Telus iPhone would work there?

Thanks,

Sarah

Your phone is not supported in Australia. It doesn't support the right cellular bands there. Click on iPhone 5 and view the chart.

You could sell your old one, although a 5 doesn't have much value anymore.

@WestCoasterBC   That is just for LTE. The 3G bands should still be supported in Australia.

Carrier:               3G Frequency:
Telstra                850MHz 2100MHz
Optus & Virgin Mobile  900MHz 2100MHz
Vodafone               850MHz 900MHz 2100MHz

iPhone 5 model A1428*

UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz);
GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz);
LTE (Bands 4 and 17)

@sarahgauer - be sure to have your iPhone unlocked before you move, if it isn't already.

I'm aware 3G bands work. Why bottle neck ones self to never use LTE.. Especially when a 5 only fetches about $120
