I'm currently with Rogers, but will be switching to Telus. I'm wondering if the Telus iPhone X model is shipping as 'unlocked' given the December 1st requirement (per Best Buy, all of their units are unlocked for all carriers). I have a pre-order in with Apple, but would cancel and go with Telus now if it is unlocked (I require an unlocked phone for travel).
Anyone receive their X yet and can confirm?

Yes. They are sold unlocked. I can confirm this, as my Rogers sim also works in my Telus iPhone X.

Not sure if it is already factory unlocked or not but I saw an article on mobilesyrup they're now pushing unlock for existing Telus iPhone's...might need to sync with iTunes to complete the process.
BTW Telus dealers won't sell you the phone outright in store at least so be prepared for that but can always cancel 2-yr contract and payout remaining device balance.

It should be sold unlocked but, I can't guarantee which specific models are sold unlocked at this point. I know Telus is now unlocking all phones for free though and you don't have to wait 90 days. So if you get the phone and it's not unlocked you can call in and have it unlocked.

Do you know if this goes for past clients as well?
My wife has an iPhone 6 originally from Telus and would like to confirm if it is unlocked...currently using on Public Mobile sub brand.
