Help! I can't even make calls half the time. Apps just shut down and can't check emails either? I know it's time to upgrade, but what can I do in the mean time?

It is an older phone, but others of similar vintage are still working. Some suggestions:

  • make sure it is fully charged
  • re-start the phone daily to clear the cache
  • be certain the phone has memory space - a 'full' phone is more likely to misbehave. Remove a few Apps if necessary
  • turn off any apps you are not using
  • update the phone to latest iOS for that model
  • back it up to iTunes or iCloud in case you have more problems.
  • look at the iPhone sales on the Telus site just now.  Robot Happy

Hope this helps!

EDIT: You might also consider a full refresh / restore from backup as well.
