What about the Moto X 2014? Motorola says the device for carrier TELUS will receive Android M.

Downloaded the update last night (LG G3) via OTA. Slower than a herd of turtles (ran overnight to download) but connection volume may have been an issue. 🙂

I have never had an issue with speeds getting an OTA update from Telus. Maybe your WIFI sucks?

Nope. WiFi is just fine. Other than the speed, it all went very successfully.

Will we see Android M updates for the S4, S5, S5A?
03-30-2016 03:34 PM
S5 is possible but no announced release for Canada yet.
S5A? The active ones are typically the last to get updates since they're not the flagship devices.
S4, not likely. Too old, too slow.

That's what they said about v5.x and my Galaxy Note v1 as well (Too Old, Too slow) but that was proved wrong by CynogenMOD and others. I currently have the stock v5.x on my Note 3 and have no doubt M will run just fine although I suspect that will need a leg up from CynogenMOD as well.
For work however, the S4 and S5 are no slouches and could easily handle M.

It's pretty sad when Blackberry Priv users will have the chance to Beta Test Marshmallow on their phone BEFORE my GS6 get's it!
YES that's right. Blackberry Priv Beta Testers will get Marshmallow the second week of April. And I am still waiting until April 18th.
Read up!

Go check for updates on your Note 5, mine got the update today.

I guess we shouldn't really complain that much. Has anyone seen Rogers pathetic excuse for Software Updates! Made me laugh and feel sorry for their customers

Not yet! I get the "latest updates have been installed" message. Haven't gotten a network error message though. I'll keep trying throughout the day.

It got changed again, it's now the 18th. Chatted with Telus customer service and they said they have no control over the update schedule. I understand that in the end it's Samsung but the Telus guy I talked to was a jerk. He wouldn't address my LTE issue, and he actually suggested that I go and buy a Nexus if I wanted the update.

@Newfiechick19 - I'm currently downloading the Marshmallow update on my S6 Edge.
04-18-2016 01:57 PM
Any issues? I updated my GS6 Edge this morning and when someone sends me more than 1 text message in a row the second and subsequent texts are in a blue bubble with white text that is impossible to read. The original text is fine.

Update for GS6 was completed this morning. I've been waiting a long time for this update, i'm not really sure why though, my GS6 has been great.

Anyone know the scheduled date for note 4 update?
04-19-2016 12:05 AM
Samsung has still not yet announced any official upgrades for the Note 4, especially in Canada. Until that happens (likely not for some time) you will need to wait. Samsung is one of the worst device manufacturers in terms of delays in releasing updates for their current flagship devices. They take even longer for older generations of devices (Note 4), if they even bother to update them.

Sprint released Note 4 Marshmallow update almost 4 weeks ago, so it can't be all Samsung. It's Samsung Canada and Carrier delays.

Sprint is the only carrier on this side of the planet with the Note 4 update. The update was released to unlocked phones in India and Korea and Sprint. Only a tiny fraction of the planet has it. None of the other US carriers have it yet either and they'll typically get it before it comes to Canada.
