Extra ActionTech V1000 Wireless Router

Roseglass
Just Moved In
I've just recently up graded to Optik(tm) TV with its supposed high speed and wide range. I've got the new router and it's companion wireless unit downstairs and upstairs respectively. I park a travel Trailer in the yard that sits for most of the time, but it's nice to go "Yard" camping once in awhile if not towing out into the boons. Can I offer this ActiontecV1000 to the new routers as a client of theirs? Run a MAC address exception to offer it bandwidth at specific days and times protected with a long password (as its '50 out in the yard). Can this be successfully done instead of relying on weak (really weak) WiFi extender signals, and get a strong signal from what was a GREAT modem we used prior to the upgrade? Thoughts?
