I have searched everywhere- I have a DVD player, a Sony Home theater,an LG tv and my optik tv PVR. Where can I find a diagram showing how to connect this equipment?

The Sony Home Theatre device sounds to be the central part of your system, and their documentation is the most likely place to start, unless it is a sound bar / subwoofer combo. If it is a sound bar, then that would connect to the TV, and the other items would connect to the TV directly through different HDMI ports.
