can i move my modem to change my pc to wired connection?

Cgnm2250 modem is in my downstairs sitting area how can i move it upstairs to get a wired connection to my computer system for better streaming on my pc do i need to get a tech in to move it or can i do it myself?? I tried to move it but the lights would not come back on is there something i am missing?

Cgnm2250 Modem? That's a cable modem and not something Telus uses.

If your computer is not wireless....
- USB nano wifi transceiver?
- wireless network card?
- personally, I got myself a Powerline network extender. Works more stable than wifi.
