Telus Cisco IPV6105 and a Marantz NR-1504----sound drop-outs.

So, this has been driving me crazy ever since I got this receiver. I have the Cisco box in "surround" mode, and Audessey engaged with the receiver. I've tried everything. Resetting the entire signal chain, including the ONT. Getting a new box. Numerous HDMI cables. Connecting the optical audio output, etc. Still have audio drop-outs. The only way to stop them is shut Audessey off, boost the input volume +12db, and then I'm good. But it sounds so flat and lifeless this way.

Has anyone else had a similar problem, and if so, how did you remedy it?
