Optik 4k question

Hello. Recently purchased a 4k tv and had the standard pvr and it couldnt run 1080p so i had it on 720p and the quality was decent so i am finally going to upgrade to a 4k pvr. Im curious, are all programs in 4k? If not then would the channel be 1080p?

Very few programs are currently 4K, though the number is increasing, especially specialty sporting events and movies. Most broadcast TV is still 720p or 1080i. As you can have the 4K PVR with no great premium, go for it, and enjoy what programming is available, more will come available.
