How do I find out if I have permission to upload pictures to my webspace?

 ( recent install) and yes I have a ftp program but I am not sure what protocols to program it with & my webspace is there - I can't transfer jpgs to it

 switched from shaw & i used an ftp site with no problems -  I did have a telus account previously. I don't remember having any problems then either. the server won't allow transfers ( according to the error code.

Might "Method Not Allowed" refer to the upload program's format of upload?

My File settings are:

FTP

Plain FTP  

NFtoBC

Why not post the exact error code? It'll usually spell out exactly why it failed.

wow  .   I use ipswitch ws professional & made a few changes including putting ftp as server type, checked the box  passive mode for data connections, checked boxes in ssh ( same as shaw) and it WORKED !!!  thanks for the help
