There is only one ONT. It has not changed in size or model since the last time you asked about it. The installer will find a suitable place for it in your parents house, don't worry. Just be patient and you'll be on fibre in no time.

It's smaller than the T3200M wall mounted, for scale.

All the ONT does is convert the fibre to a copper connection. That's it. What you connect to that ONT should be what is of interest.

@JTL Telus is using Nokia ones now? I thought they were using Alcatel ones still.

It's a very recent development, less than a year old.

 

From what I can gather Nokia bought Alcatel's fibre division. Branding is different but the hardware and software is almost the same.

Telus can not get fibre into our condo, currently its either a copper or coax from the common equipment room. Telus says they can still use a ONT device to connect to the existing copper/coax to deliver a fibre like service. Does anyone have experience in this approach?
