As has been stated quite a few times, 99%+ of the time it is not an outage and most of the time a connection issue doesn't affect more than just one single connection. If there is a large scale outage, you'd usually see it posted here.

Our internet is not working in Surrey BC. Is the network down for everyone in the area?
Surrey is a HUGE place. (See map.) The Greater Vancouver Area is far larger. You'll need to be explicitly specific as to what you define as "the area".
And why hasn’t TELUS communicated with us about this issue and when it will be resolved.
I would recommend contacting technical support. Many times basic troubleshooting can resolve connection issues and if not they can arrange a repair tech for you.
