Data limit for Internet usage ridiculous

Hey Telus why is there a limit on data that can be used per month for simple Internet usage at home?This does not exists with other service providers. I wish I knew that you guys put a limit and I would have never signed up for a 3 year contract.
Now that you are offering Netflix steaming on your optic box, how can us customers enjoy watching a movie without worrying about going over our data limit or was that part of why Telus introduced Netflix on there cable services? More data being used I guess means Increase revenue?!

You wish you knew? The data limit for the packages has been advertised on Telus' website for many years. There are other providers with caps as well. Some are more strict and some are more flexible.

Netflix on the Optik box is 720p so it's using less data than you'd get on a 1080p stream.

Also, this forum is pretty much for the users, and it's those users that contribute answers here as well.

You can upgrade your plan for faster speeds and increased monthly allowance.
