Spoke to a customer service rep over the phone today regarding lost all my rewards points. A female rep wasn't friendly & not trying to help. She said the rewards up to end of 2023 were all gone if you didn't use it by then. The new points started in Jan 2024 & I should have gotten them. I asked her how come I didn't receive any email or letter to inform me about that. She said it was mentioned in the monthly bill/invoice. I told her I've auto payment on a/c which is same for every month so there no need for me to look at them. They should have sent out an email or sent out a letter to inform their clients. I asked her how come it say zero reward on my a/c? After she checked, she said "oh, the new rewards are only for clients who has more than one product with Telus. Since you only have one product, you earn nothing". I told her that's unfair and would like to voice my concerns. I asked her how I can do that & where would I find it since I'm already logged in my a/c on their website. She said you can't do it from your a/c & must be done at the bottom right on Telus.com. I told her I'm there & where at the bottom right? Then she made me waited for at least 2 minutes until I asked if she's looking at Telus.com. She said still looking, once found she'll email me the link. Waited another minute or so, I told her do I need to continue wait on the line while she's looking for the link to email me. She then said "I THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA!". I said ok she just hung up on me without saying anything more. This is what I received by email. I'm not the only one who received poor service from Telus, my friends & co-workers have the same experience too. The large green status bar at the bottom of the screen hides important text information on the tv when pause is pressed or FF/RW. During the news hour for example, names of people being interviewed or locations of events is hidden from view because the large green status bar covers it. Closed captions for movies are located at the bottom of the screen and are also covered by the large green status bar. If you press play, it takes 6 seconds for the status bar to disappear and then it’s often too late to read the information, resulting in a need to rewind again, only to have this occur again. If the location of the status bar was located at the top of the screen, it would not hide most network text. Better yet, if the user had the choice to move the status bar, that would be very convenient. Please consider this.

It should be simple for Telus to mark a customer's file when they receive requested equipment returns so that an "Important Reminder: Please return your TELUS equipment" email is not auto-generated weeks after Telus received the equipment. Including "If you have already returned your equipment, we sincerely appreciate your cooperation! Please disregard this message." is not acceptable. Customers then wonder did someone at Telus steal the equipment I sent back? Am I going to get charged and have to waste hours of everybody's time proving the equipment was returned?

I just moved to Telus Optik TV from Shaw. I have the digital IPTV box. The one feature I missed the most is the ability to find categories of shows on the live guide. For example, find all the movies that's currently playing on the entire guide. It turns out, there is no live filter in the new digital tv box but it was available in the previous box (according to Telus support articles).

The ability to record only one sports team (eg NFL, NHL) as a series and not all NFL and NHL games. I am primarily interested in watching the teams that I follow not the whole league. I miss this ability from Shaw.

In the last month, I’ve had two extended power outages, one lasting 6 hours and this past weekend for 9 hours. After the first one, my ONT kept beeping so Telus sent me a replacement battery. After the most recent outage, it started beeping again and there are no support articles to problem solve it or provide an automated way to request a new battery. Having an automated option would be nice, as I’m expecting to spend an hour on hold to address it.

When is TELUS going to add Smart Garage® Control MYQ-G0401-ESMC Older versions are available. This version is available to Alarm.com customers why is it not available for TELUS Home Security customer (essentially the same system). The compatibility list and current hardware devices are not being updated for newer hardware available. The hardware is not keeping up with new technologies and options, the system not being updated to be Future Friendly vary often.

There’s a pile of posts from over the last 3 years all asking to allow users to remove/disable/password protect apps so children cannot just instantly access YouTube and other such sites using the app menu. Sure I password protected the channel but my 3 year old figured out in under 2 minutes how to click the app button and click YouTube- never mind the 5 and 8 year old. It is terrible that Telus has not addressed this. I’ve been a customer for more than 15 years and I’m ready to cancel over this.

I just recently subscribed to a package deal which includes telus tv +. I only watch tv through ''Edge'' on my xbox, or access other apps like Netflix, Disney or Prime the same way. Unfortunately when I want to use my telus tv +, I always get an error '' Playback on this browser is not supported'', I can see the guide and everything, but each time I click to run whatever tv show from the guide list, I get that error message. Any clue how this can be resolved please? Thanks in advance.

I don't believe this exists in connect app as of now, but it would be nice to have a quarantine feature. Any new device connecting to the network being unable to access any data over the Wi-Fi until it is approved in the app by the client would really improve security. Shouldn't even be that hard to implement. Just have any new device Automatically paused if it doesnt connect using WPS maybe? Would love to see this feature implemented in some fashion.

I just had to give up my Shaw Gateway I had for a decade, as Shaw is no longer with us. I got the Telus Tv. I am very surprised how this Telus system is so far behind of what I had 10 years ago, and this costs more. Telus doesn’t have slow motion playback, recording options like start time and stop time, high speed forward or reverse, and not even a Stop button. I find it annoying that when you are finished watching a show it keeps playing because you can’t stop it until you pick something else. Telus Tv has taken a step back more than 10 years with their antiquated system, and the price they charge for this is serious gouging. When my contract is up I will shop elsewhere if they do not get their systems modernized.

On the old Optik TV platform, you could set a recording to end later in 15 minute intervals. It’s especially helpful when shows run up against football and other sports. I love SNL but miss out on parts because the show started late. Would be great to have that on the new platform.

I am totally interested in the Stream+ you offer through Telus. I think it would be an awesome idea if instead of making people have to use a credit card to obtain Stream+ through Telus, it's be a great idea to just have it tacked onto your monthly bill and be able to pay for your subscriptions through Telus that way. Not everyone has a credit card for starters, this makes it more accessible, and further people have to use their credit cards to pay for these subscriptions anyways, so there's no difference really, only that it's bundled in one place through Telus. That doesn't necessarily make it better. Billing via your Telus bill would be excellent and make it attainable for more users.

There used to be an option to set a reminder for an upcoming show and a couple of minutes before it would start the reminder would pop up on the screen. Then you would have the option to flip over to it or ignore or delete it. I don't know if Telus ever had this, I know that other company (who's name escapes me at this moment 😏) had it. They removed it for some reason and I really missed it. It was very useful.

I would like to make a suggestion for your Telus TV + app. I would like to see a sleep timer incorporated into it. I like to fall asleep at night watching tv on my phone, but I would like to know it would stop by itself after I fall asleep instead of continuing on.
