So I posted this Idea two months ago in the wrong section and am posting it here in the correct section. With Telus letting us purchase extra data if we are about to go over, why can't they let us keep our plan and offer us more speed? My plan has more data than I need, but any lower plan doesn't have the speed I want. I work at night meaning 4pm to 12-1am so for the evening unlimited calling is worthless to me & alot of people I know. So I need a non ginormous priced plan so I can make day time calls. Most people have a home theater setup for their entertainment, and they'll use their audio receiver to control the volume, however the STBs offered by TELUS do not give the option of enabling/disabling its own volume control. Even at "max volume" of 25, you have to really turn up the audio on the home theater to be able to hear correctly, this is even more so when you have the audio output set to Surround. What would be nice, would be for an additional audio option on the set top box for "External Audio", where the audio signal is a static output (meaning you can't increase or decrease it) and the volume is doubled from the "max" of 25. This would allow customers to properly use their home theaters without having to really turn up the volume, and also prevent having multiple volume controls. ... View more

Website search function for optik tv channel listings doesn't work anymore. I sent feedback via the website, waited, spoke with customer service, waited - still comes up with: "No search results for the requested search criterion", whatever you enter. It's been a couple of weeks. I prefer searching the website - it's quicker - rather than using the search button via remote. Does anyone know if there's a way to jump ahead through multiple search results, using a slimline remote?  It would be nice if this was more user-friendly. Thanks, Janann ... View more

Basically, offer a $10 or $15 dollar a month add on to allow for unlimited streaming of music from these services. I do a lot of driving so this would be a fantastic add on and make Telus buckets of money from people like me who love music. ... View more

The TELUS My Account mobile app has got a bug... It will show "Your session expired. Please login again." even the exactly correct credentials have been entered already. It means I have entered my login credentials TWICE, unless I check the "Keep me logged in" box. It is apparent is security related issue, especially when I have not logout manually from the app menu in the previous session. I would love to be able to add additional data to my phone package without being forced to change my current phone package. It makes sense that for a small fee of $10 being able to add an additional gig. Currently to get more data telus forces a person to upgrade their package to one they may not want at a cost that seems a bit too steep. ... View more

Obviously the cell phone plans differ between regions. While I really enjoy the plan I have and feel that it is pretty great for the price, I think it would be worth looking into some more options for add-ons or more customizable plans. I'm sure there are a lot of people who are looking for more than just two options. Business people, students, etc. Things like an add-on for more data or unlimited data (Similar to what you've got going on for your internet service) would be great. I recently moved provinces and find myself using Google Maps a lot, and it just eats up my data. After only a month with my new Telus plan I had to upgrade to the higher data package to keep up. (Google maps ate up over 800 MB of my 1GB plan with only 3 or 4 uses. Now I bumped to the 5GB plan but with how much data my essential maps takes up, I worry I may still go over-- and have no more options left to add additional data if I need to, unless I share it with someone... but if it's shared, we may still run into overage issues.) Personally, like with my last provider, I'm not interested in spending $100 a month on my phone bill just to have a couple of basic features that-- let's face it, are day to day needs for the majority of people these days. New Episodes Filter Show only new programs when viewing the guide. For this to work the dating of programs in the guide needs to be improved. There are many shows with no dates or some default date that isn't remotely close. For instance most news programs don't have the correct date. Alphabetical Program Listing Many channels repeat programming throughout the day and week. There should be an option to list alphabetically all the programs (without duplicates) when viewing the single channel guide. This framework allows tv providers to add TV input services and display all TV content, as well as guide info, etc., from within Android TV ( see: https://source.android.com/devices/tv/ ). This service may should have no compatibility issues with Mediaroom, is secure, and would work on both root and non-root devices (for example on usage with media room, see: http://goo.gl/LSY1ul). The API should allow for quick deployment with an eased development process, is open sourced (both Android and iWedia's Android4TV framework extension), and could open many new opportunities for Telus to expand and enhance content delivery. It could even be integrated directly into a "Telus" TV, for example (i.e. for new customer promo, etc.), but would work on any Android TV device (possibly regular Android devices as well) for any current Telus subscriber. When mailing out monthly service bills can you please separate the detailed billing accounts?  The reason a person would request a detailed billing summary is to claim the expenses either for business tax purposes or company reimbursement.  Having my detailed billing on the back side of another person's account information is annoying and confusing.  If you're looking for a way to save on paper only include detailed billing for those that specifically request it.  Thank you. ...
