Salmon Arm weather is available on Shaw Cable services and also, I'm pretty sure, via Telus satellite service in the Shuswap.  Salmon Arm Optik service comes under the Kamloops area.  However, for us in Salmon Arm, the Weather Channel is next door to useless, because it displays KELOWNA weather.

Why can we not have the Salmon Arm weather?  Or, at the very least, the Kamloops weather?

I agree to get Salmon Arm weather in Salmon Arm as it can be quite different in Kelowna.
