When i put shows on PVR, they all start recording minutes before the actual beginning and end minutes after the actual end. How about making shows actually start and end on the half/full hour. In other words, as shown in the program listing.
The extra 4 minutes of recording (1 before, 3 after) are in case the channel airs the show a little off the scheduled time. I've seen some, HBO mostly where a half hour show has 8 minutes after the scheduled end time because HBO is horrible at airing some shows at the scheduled time.
It's easy to skip ahead when starting to watch a recording.
