It would be nice to get use of your own plan and data while travelling. Talk and text for Sasktel users are free to use in the U.S. That's a part of your plan. Rogers just introduced a $5/day fee up to a maximum of $50 and it enables the user to take full advantage of their plan just like if they were in Canada.
My wife and I paid a total of $75 for a total of 200 mb , 200 texts and a few minutes of talk time. Considering that Telus has a significantly larger customer base than Sasktel I'm sure you can do better than the current plans.
Also, it would be nice to actually have an unlimited data plan again like Sasktel unlike the current Telus plans. Don't get me wrong I love Telus but falling behind on these services that a significantly smaller provider is able to offer.
