Line audio on set top boxes

Most people have a home theater setup for their entertainment, and they'll use their audio receiver to control the volume, however the STBs offered by TELUS do not give the option of enabling/disabling its own volume control. Even at "max volume" of 25, you have to really turn up the audio on the home theater to be able to hear correctly, this is even more so when you have the audio output set to Surround.

What would be nice, would be for an additional audio option on the set top box for "External Audio", where the audio signal is a static output (meaning you can't increase or decrease it) and the volume is doubled from the "max" of 25. This would allow customers to properly use their home theaters without having to really turn up the volume, and also prevent having multiple volume controls.
