Our small business is located in rural Alberta. We have three mobile devices on our plan. Recently our team who has some remote workers - signed up for Microsoft teams calls. We simply call forward our office mobile number to a teams number and it delegates from there. On our recent Telus bill they are charging us long distance on all the calls. Our plan has unlimited nation wide calling. Our area code of the original business cell is 780. The teams phone is 587 which is also a local area code for our community. Have escalated this twice and they are trying to tell me that the 587 number is not local to lloydminster that it is a red deer area code. If you search Lloydminster area codes 587, 780 etc all come up on multiple sites. As well, there are many local businesses in lloydminster with the 587 area code. Am being conned here. The charges are well over 1600 dollars.
