I run a small accounting firm out of Red Deer. Month end we send lots of big files to our clients. It seems we have connectivity issues only around that time. I was on a very basic plan, so I upgraded from 3/1 to15/1. The internet is surprisingly fast after getting the upgrade, but we still have the issue. Does TELUS have a solution for this business client?
Thanks in advance.

If your main use for the internet is sending files to your client, then you would need more bandwidth on your upload. Having a fast download won't increase your internet connection's ability to send those important files to your client.
what you would need is TELUS 25/5

instead of upload at 1mbps, you would be upload at 5mbps

I have a business account that provides 6mbps download but about 1 mbps upload. I do video conferencing and find I have difficulty with 360 video upload. Hoe much up load speed do I need?

It depends on your program and how many people you are video conferencing with at the time. Going into settings and tweaking them will allow better control of your upload.
Lets say you are communicating with 3 at a time. Does your program send out 3 streams, or is there a middleman server(program makers headquarters) that makes it so you only upload one single stream, instead of 3 streams.
http://new.livestream.com/ is how gamers upload their live sessions in a single stream, otherwise they'd never be able to have more than a few viewers at a time.
If you are maxing out your upload, it can cause problems. Upload replies to download, Download replies to upload. So if your program can throttle the maximum upload speed(maybe to 600Kbps), you avoid saturating your upstream and causing the connection to belch. Thats assuming your connection can consistently do 800Kbps upload.
360p video with audio may need up to 520 kbps for upload, depending on various factors, such as like codecs. You could also lower your cam's frame rate from 30fps, down to 15fps(frames per second). Still get good video, but with less upload needed.
