At my bsuiness we have a phone line and a fax line.
Our fax number is different then our phone line number.
When someone calls the store, for some reason our answering machine isnt kicking in after a few rings. Instead it rings a few times and then makes the fax screeching noise..
How do i fix this?

Hi.
It seems that your phones are inverted (phone to fax line, fax line to phone) which is why you're hearing that screaching sound. One way to confirm this is placing a call from the fax or phone line to a cell phone for example and validate the correct caller ID number. If there was a confusion with which number is fax or phone, the sales team should be able to assist by correcting the order.
