As a proud parent of a 6 and 8 year old, nothing brings me more joy than seeing their smiling faces and watching them grow. On Pink Shirt Day, I'm reminded that we must stand together and be leaders in choosing kindness and showing compassion to others.

Although Pink Shirt Day comes once a year, there are plenty of ways to advocate throughout the year. Personally, I have joined the parent committee at my daughters' school and have had the chance to work with the faculty to foster a safe learning environment.  We have also launched a code of conduct, similar to TELUS pledge against bullying, to ensure the school, parents, and students are aligned.

Today, my daughters and I will proudly wear our pink shirts to spread the word. I encourage you to participate by sharing a photo and tagging #EndBullying and #PinkShirtDay on all your social media platforms.

Want to learn more about our commitment to #EndBullying? Visit telus.com/wise to learn about our partnership with Carol Todd, parent, mental health educator and online safety advocate to pledge against bullying.
