Video Doorbell chime
Does anyone know if the Telus video door bell comes with an external chime or is there one available?
This home we purchased has the Telus doorbell but it only "chimes" outside. Not sure exactly how to get something on the inside of the home to chime.
Ps, we are NOT subscribers to any Telus security services. We just would like to know how we could use it as a stand-alone doorbell with a wireless chime inside the home?
Not that I'm aware of, no.

Wireless I am not sure if it's possible.
In terms of inside your home, the doorbell is supposed to be connected to the doorbell wire that goes to a speaker inside and that's your "chime". If when you press the doorbell you don't hear anything inside, I would check the wiring.
However, I am not an electrician or terribly knowledgeable of low-voltage wiring but I did install my own doorbell camera in my last place so I know that if the doorbell is properly installed it will trigger the inside chime.

The door bell would require a hardwired chime. There isn't an external one available. Was your home not wired for a door belll.

yes, it was wired for a doorbell as it is using the existing wiring to power the DB camera. However, we can't seem to find the chime that you would expect in the traditional button & chime scenario. We think the previous owner might have removed the wired chime.
So I gather that the Telus video doorbell does NOT come with any other device to act as a chime?
