upgrade monitored ho9me security system?

A person claiming to be a Telus salesman wants us to upgrade our home security system, something to do with Bell's 5G cell network, and asks us for a $450 service fees for the technician to come and install a new control panel (or whatever). Telus has never informed us of this. Has anyone heard of this? Is it really necessary? All the monitoring equipment we have is owned by Telus - why should I pay them to update their equipment?\

A guy is coming to our home this afternoon to get us to upgrade our monitoring station to confirm to Bell 5G (?) network requirements. Said we would need to pay $450 installation fee and have a technician come to our house to install. Want to know from Telus if this is legit as we've never received a notification about such an upgrade from Telus (e.g. an email or letter). Our home phone is (removed number).
