TELUS Online Security - Legit Promotion?

Same here...I was charged for TELUS Online Security - Standard and I didn't order it. Chat not working.
Weird, were you trying to access the chat from a computer? Try the https://bit.ly/2zFhxcg link on a desktop/laptop computer, a chat bubble should pop up after a few seconds.
I received a reply from TELUSsupport. "I have noticed that you were sent an email regarding TELUS Online Security. However, that is just an invitation to set it up - it hasn't been added to your account, so there is no need to worry." I wish they made it clear in the email that this was the case, as it looked like a standard follow-up email to activate a new service. The service was also showing up in My Telus as well. Anyway, to answer my question, this turns out to be legit, but Telus could have definitely handled it better.
You may want to double check your bill. I noticed that a "trial" for online security was added to my account back in December without my consent. My friend had the same thing. They said it was just a trial but when it ended it May I would have started getting charged. So dam shady. I had to ask via chat to have it removed.
