Smarthome+ Video viewing on the Web

I have an outdoor camera which i can easily view on the Smarthome App, however, I am not permitted to have my cell at work due to security issues, so would like to view the camera on the website. I do not have this option on my 'default home page' as per the video help. How do I view my camera on the web? I have just received two more cameras to complete my set up, but if I cant view them online, I will arrange to have them returned.

  • So it would seem my Homeview plan does not allow you to view your cameras via the web - you MUST use the app on a smartphone. Which is a huge issue. I am not allowed my cell phone at work due to security, so now i have a camera that I cant view while i am at work. So today I returned the additional cameras, and will cancel the plan I have as soon as it's time is up. Sorry Telus - disappointed.

Hi ggvl62 - This is correct that for a newer SmartHome+ product we don't have that ability.

I did speak with the team and it is a feature that they are working on but we don't have a release date. Sorry about that!

  • So when I log in using that link, I dont get the home page it says i should get on the video. I just get an overview of my account with no option to select video....is this something to do with my account, or did I not set something up correctly?

You might be logging in from the regular TELUS portal. Can you login to the SmartHome security site by using the https://www.telus.com/smarthomelogin  site?

when I use that link, I put in my login credentials, then it directs me to the regular portal login where I have to put in my credentials again. This is frustrating.
