Is Telus running a Home Security system promotion in Timmins Ontario?
I just had someone at my door offering some kind of promotion.
It seemed sort of scammy to me, and I just wanted to make sure there is an actual promotion going on.

The guy was talking about building good will with the community, said something about Telus sponsoring 50 homes to have security systems set up.
He made references to the crime problem downtown.
It just seemed off, and I've heard of scams involving security system installation, where it's pretty much a free way to scout a home for valuables.
I just wanted to see if Telus was actually involved, and if not, whether we should report this to police or something.

Does Telus offer internet services in Timmins? If Bell is the local internet service provider, then it is exceedingly unlikely Telus offers home security.
Nothing? Cool.
Telus, your support systems suck. I can't seem to get in contact with anyone to verify this.
Could be a scam going around.
