ADT legacy security system and tech support
How does one reach technical support for an ADT legacy system. I've procrastinated replacing the batteries in a number of sensors and want to tackle it now. I used to be able to call ADT and they would take the system offline so we could open the sensors and replace batteries without them getting alarms. None of the phone numbers I have work.
Help please!
TIA

This is directed to the Support Team.
After changing all the batteries, one of the door sensors no longer registers with the system. The alarm panel shows "Check garage door". It's a door that unintentionally gets slammed a lot and the sensor may be broken.
As an ADT legacy client, how do I get this fixed? I spoke to technical help and was told I pay only for monitoring. (Funny, my bill also includes a $5.00 charge monthly for legacy system maintenance). I was told I would have to pay for a new sensor and sent me to the sales dept. They said I need a new system.
How to I get a new sensor installed?

Hey sabatine - we could recommend moving the sensor if possible but that number should route you to the correct team. There may be limitations to what our team may be able to do with legacy systems.
We can send you a private message to see if there's anything the team can do

Hi,
Thanks for checking in. We did call the number you provided (thanks) and we changed the batteries.
We’re just waiting for the system to clear the error messages and we will be good.

If the alarm is off then removing the cover on the panel should not trip am alarm , even if it does, they will call you and then you can tell them what you are doing (have your password ready). all other sensors will not trip if panel is off. Go ahead and change your batteries.
If you want to test you alarm then leave it armed and remove the panel cover, they should call.
