Trial Period for New Internet Plan

My 2 year internet (cable) service contract with Telus ended in mid Nov, so I called Telus and entered into a new 2 year internet (pure fiber) contract (with a faster speed interest). 10 days later, I would like to cancel the new contract and I am in the 15-day trial period. I was told that only new home services would have that trial period, and the change from the old contract (cable) to the renewed contract (pure fiber) is not "new home service". I am not able to find the definition of "new home service" in the contract or anywhere on Telus website. Can you please point out to me where I can find the definition? Thank you so much.
