Supposedly closed account but still getting emails

I haven't been with Telus for a couple of years now and recently I've been getting these legit looking emails that my account is locked due to too many tries to get in. I've tried logging in and I can't because the account is closed. I can't unsubscribe as there's no link and I don't understand why someone would try to get into my closed account. Also, anyone have credit hits on their credit bureau years after an account is closed with Telus? Can't get through to anyone since the account is closed.
