New internet account, can't create Account
I signed up for a service install online and the text suggested I download the app or create an account. I wasn't able to. After entering the account number provided I reached a screen saying my service had been cancelled. I reached a support person on the phone who had no guidance except to rudely ask me why I didn't also sign up for cable. Install went as well as any other dealing with Telus...
Either way...
Now I'm attempting to sign up for the My Telus account and while I can now get one screen farther (to input a password and security question) after doing so I reach a screen that reads:
I tried this earlier today about 2 PM MST and again now at 7 PM MST. Install was yesterday Feb 17 and signup was Feb 12. Do I have to wait for the account to be created still?
If it matters I also received a second copy of the Your Home Service(s) order is confirmed email last night 3 hours after the install had been completed.

When you log in, do you see this:
Welcome to your new and improved My TELUS Overview. Prefer the old view? Switch backI have pointed out the upgrade view started this issue. May work for you - TELUS_Support

Hi! Just following up. Were you able to create the account? Have you tried a different browser or device? Clearing cache and cookies? Please let us know!

"Something went wrong" Try again later.the URL of the "Something went wrong" page readserrorcode=email.unavailableSo I will try creating the account to a different email address. However the email address I am trying to use is the one I signed up for and have so far received communications through. I have in the past asked to not receive marketing communications from Telus and had an account 10 years ago or so that may be contributing to the error.

I tried an alternate browser and received the same error,
The url reads, error=email-unavailable
I tried just now using an alternate email but received a different error page with the URL error code invalid.token
I think my email is still in use by a previous account I had 10 or so years ago but because I signed up on this same email I cannot use another to sign up for mytelus. I suspect the easiest way to fix this would be to change the email I signed up with in this instance to a different one. Or perhaps there's a way to release the old one for use on this new account.
If you determine I need to call in about this I'd appreciate a private message with a number that won't get me 3 consecutive salespeople and then hung up on.
