Language of CHOICE fubar
Nowhere have I chosen as language of preference anything other than English but about half of the emails reveived from Telus are in another language, and I see no way to fix this.

Gotcha. This can happen if the language for your digital profile (what you see in My TELUS) and the one for your master billing account (the backend in our billing system) aren't synced up. One thing to try would be to log in to your My TELUS account (on desktop, not in the app) and go to Contact Settings. There, switch your language preference to French, save it, wait a minute or two, then go back in and switch it to English. Save it again, and see if that makes all future contacts such as emails come in English.

I'm paying $100 per month for service. It's up to Telus to provide half-decent interfacing without expecting paying customers to do the work.

We hear you and this is more about us being able to provide service in a language that someone might be more comfortable with so we provide the ability to switch through self-serve options so customers can have control and can make these changes without needing to reach out to us

Hey chose - What emails seem to be in another language? Could you provide us with more information?

I'll have to wait for another one, I think these were emails sending me two password reset options, unworkable ones as postred elsewhere.

Every written comm I receive from Telus addresses me like so:
"Hello, FamiliyName"
Where I come from, this manner of addressing is impolite at best; acceptable formats being either
Hello, Mr/Mrs/Ms FamiliyName
OR
Hello, FirstName
I have reported this at least a dozen times to no avail. It so happens that my First Name sounds like a Family Name and maybe some brain-dead algorythm is twisting things.

I forgot my MyTelus password and so I click 'forgot pwd' on the log-in page. In response I get a dialogue with 2 options; one to get a direct nopwd log-in link and another to get an email with a link to reset.
The direct nopwd log-in link works but if I log in using it I still have to know my old password to change it, so I cannot change my pwd.
The (never English) email received in response to a request for a reset link contains only my email address but no link to do a reset.
