I am living in UK, can I transfer my account to my friend who is sharing my apartment?

A transfer is not possible AFAIK. Generally, you have to contact Telus directly to process a cancellation, and I suggest using the Chat function linked in the page footer, as a call might be expensive, unless you use Skype (North America Toll-free numbers are cost free on Skype).
