Wi-Fi 7 booster (B30A) bridge/AP mode

Hi all,

Is it possible to set the Telus Wi-Fi 7 booster (B30A) to bridge/AP mode? I already set the NH20A to bridge mode, plugged my Unifi router to it and my network is routed by the Unifi device.

However, when I connect the booster to Unifi, the booster is providing its own IPs to wired and wireless clients. And in settings menu it literally says Operating Mode: Router.

How do I set the booster to bridge/AP mode?

Thanks!

Thanks for your message. The Telus Wi-Fi 7 booster (B30A) is currently designed to operate in Router mode only. It does not have a dedicated bridge/AP mode, so it will issue its own IP addresses to connected devices when plugged into another router like your Unifi. At this time, there isn’t a way to fully disable the DHCP functionality to let your Unifi router manage all IP addresses.

      Hi,

I reset the NH20A, reset the booster, connected the booster to NH20A. Now both devices have 192.168.1.254 IP, both have DHCP servers and firewalls. Is this by design?

      Thanks!

Yes, this is expected behavior. When both the NH20A and the Wi-Fi 7 booster are in their default configuration, each device runs its own DHCP server and firewall, which is why you see the same IP and active services on both.
