Can a US number that is the same as a Canadian number be removed by Telus Could it be used to hijack a Telus account
There is not any way that a US Number is "the same" as a Canadian number, as it has been pointed out.
The US number is identical . Apparently such a number could be setup for someone that travels but might also be setup by a hacker

Community Power UserI've never heard of Telus nor any other provider offering anything like that.
The area code for a phone number is specific to a specific province in Canada. No provider can offer a duplicate number to one that is already in use from any provider. Are you perhaps referring to someone spoofing or faking a phone number on call display when the call out?
Please explain, in detail, what you're inquiring about.
