unable to watch any of the cbc channels on telus tv plus?
i'm trying to watch the olympics on my telus tv plus on the computer.. every single cbc channel shows a home icon with a slash on it.. and when i click on it it'll say this channel can only be viewed...
Feb 7- Same problem trying to watch Telus TV plus CBC +CBC News Network on my TV -several days now! (rebooted all the usual boxes etc. but no change) -Telus phone rep after much ("will get back to you") finally said "Yes it is an outage", but couldn't / wouldn't give details! -Frustrating to miss the Olympics!!!
Same issue. Tv+ seems to want to pick up local BC station inverted off my home Calgary station. This is new behaviour
Logged a call to support. Got a response today that the issue is resolved. Restarted and checked the tv+ app and CBC is still blocked.
They told me I'd get a call-back when it was fixed, but never called. After seeing your post, I cleared the appdata and cache, force closed, cleared appdata and cache AGAIN - then opened the app and logged back in. FINALLY it all works. (I've had my IP address changed twice, accounts re-sync'd twice, un/reinstalled the app (on a Sony Bravia), power cycled my router and fibre node twice, even re-subbed to all my channels (CBC News Network is now a 'premium' channel BTW, not technically free anymore). They did give me a bill credit for missing most of the Olympics and spending a long time on the phone. Funny thing is - the app still doesn't say I'm on my 'home connection' - so I rather think it's an issue with the app they've somehow bypassed. It was built for stream-anywhere after all. I guess if you repeat a few of the standard app-trouble steps now that whoever has done whatever to bypass the issue, it may work for you!
