Trying to cancel, Telus makes it near IMPOSSIBLE, why?

Is being unethical like this really worth the hassle it leads to? This only results in CRTC complaints...

 

Have been trying to get in contact with anyone from telus and it is a big loop online with the ai chatbot trying to set up a callback which fails, no email to contact, only number i can call refer me back to the ai chatbot.


I Just want to cancel a dead persons account and even though it is NOT on contract, u keep charging me new fees even though service has been unusued for more than 3 months.

 

How do u EASILY and without HASSLE just CANCEL.

    It is very easy. My Agreement with telus says:

    We offer many convenient ways to reach us.
    Call: 1-888-811-2323
    Email: [email protected]
    Chat: telus.com/chat
    Our customer service team will be happy to hear from you.
    If you have a complaint that you feel is not being resolved you can
    request through any of the channels above to have your customer care
    specialist escalate your concern immediately.

    Paragraph 56:

    You may terminate this Agreement at any time by notifying TELUS of the date you want the cancellation to be effective.

    So all you have to do is to notify telus, best by email to mailto:[email protected]

    or, if you have a masochist streak,  by calling the number or chatting with the chatbot.

    These emails will also get your message:

    Keep everything well documented, and if they ignore you, and keep sending you bill, report you to credit rating agency, etc. then the best is to go to the courthouse, and file a claim against telus. It costs $200 in alberta, but they will pay you back.

      Yes, your webpage is broke, cannot send or reply to PM/DM's right now. Pretty inline with the original message tbh lol.
