Telus WiFi intermittent

Has anyone in the lower mainland bc had an issue with telus wifi being intermittent. It sometimes disconnects for more than ten minutes at a time and stays this way back and forth for more than an hour.

 What was your solution? The agent came by and replaced all the modems and boosts. Asked me to go buy a new router and I am still having an issue. Is this a setup issue?

we have not had problems in the past and these last two weeks it’s been horrible connections. nothing changed in our end. We work from home so we looking for any advice. 

the agent mentioned maybe replacing outside fibre at our cost not even sure what that means.

    I am being charged $200 for telus to c repair  me not having Internet, is this correct. Why am I having to pay when the fault was their equipment? Any suggestions on how to work with telus? Is this an issue to mediate through crtc

    FYI my home service issue has been solved by a telus technician. If it helps any one else out there they had to replace this to get it working

    Still navigating this in detail with telus and the agent has been super helpful hopefully we get a resolution. I mentioned to him I noticed other users also noting issues on the down detector around the same time. Wondering if this is a CGNAT issue.  Their seems to be  a spike around the same time I lose data 

    I have telus internet 75 so the plan has great upload and download speeds.
    It’s not working at all as nothing loads. . See below some screenshots. Modem lights are all green.

  • Yes I have noticed WIFI signal strength fluctuate. Overall it has not affected browsing.

    Just did a speed check 216 down, 173 UP.

    I pay for 500GB fibre but never get it.

    Definitely not the experience we want for our customers! The agent was probably referring to the actual fibre to your home being in need of investigation, especially if a complete equipment replacement didn't do the trick.
