Any updates on 2025 Q3 or Q4 updates?
It looks like all of the missing features that people keep complaining about are still missing:
-Can't record 1 specific sports team - only all MLB, all NHL or all NFL games on a channel, including repeats.
-Can't record a specific sports team on all channels - you can only setup a recording on 1 channel at a time, so you have to setup a recording for each channel that might have the game - for NFL this could be 10 different channels.
-Missing options for recording series - you can't tell it to only record new episodes. By default it records duplicates and reruns.
-Missing the ability to pad a recording\series recording by a set time to avoid missing to go into overtime like sports, etc.
-Can't stop playback on a recording. You can only move away from that recording by going to a channel on the guide, for example.
-Time slot meta-data is often missing or incorrect, causing your recording to not work, or for it to record something other than what you wanted.
All of these are basic features that PVRs have had for 20 years. I've had Optik TV for 10 months now and none of this has been resolved. Looking at the other comments, this has been an issue for a few years now. This is unacceptable from a customer's perspective. We're not getting the product we were told we were getting when signing up for Telus TV.
How many people have to complain before you get these basic features added in?
I agree with all of this, Telus has work to do especially when most people are moving away from TV service (cable) and going streaming.

Telus were recently hiring a few senior leadership positions in their Software Development/Service delivery space here in BC. It will be interesting to see if any of those new people are onboarded yet, and willing to give us all an update on what coming up this year? Apple TV 4K? Unicast stream quality, is that getting better anytime soon? (Netflix, Apple TV, YouTube - all doing better than Telus, not to mention what I've seen in the USA re quality, we are subpar here)... Is there any way to switch back to Multicast? (Far better quality, and I don't mind a HDD to keep recordings).
