Telus TV+ channel guide keeps switching to "all channels"
I'm experiencing an issue with my Telus TV+ channel guide. The filter and sort settings keep reverting to “All channels,” even though I had selected “My favourite channels.”
While the TV is on, the...

Okay - I'm new to telus so bear with me.
Looks like there was a recent Telus TV+ update to 1.26.4.200 that may have fixed this issue? However the update has only occured on one of my boxes - my other box is still at 1.26.3.200 and still has this issue.
I'm not sure how to force an update on the other box since it doesn't show up on Google Play (maybe has to be pushed by Telus?
Didn't realize we had to be such techies just to run our TVs these days :(

1 month agoUpdates are pushed automatically; they shouldn't need any intervention from you. That said, if your device isn't connected to the internet, or something goes wrong, the updates might not arrive. You can always check for an update via Settings > Device settings > Device Preferences > About > System update

Another week has gone by without any improvement to the “All Channels” vs “Favourite Channels” issue, which I have to change every day when I turn on the TV in spite of having the latest update installed. If I turn off the TV for an hour, when it is turned on an hour later it still “remembers” to go to Favourites but the next day it again reverts to All Channels. Why con’t we be put in touch with a real person who can understand what I’m talking about and actually cares enough to want to fix the problem that it appears many many other people are having too. I know it doesn’t help to talk to the usual people on tech support because I have wasted many hours on the telephone and they don’t have any solutions other than rebooting everything. Rogers is starting to look better to me with every passing day……

Termar We're aware of the bug and our Dev team is working on a fix so there's no need to invest your time in speaking with more people. While we don't have a timeline to share, we'll definitely update this post once we have something concrete to communicate :).

Thank you for letting me know that at least you are working on a fix.

Still having the same problem with All Channels appearing every day when we turn on our TVs. I have recently discovered that there is a very odd thing happening. When the TV is turned on and I go to the Guide, it is on All Channels. Without changing that setting I move to the home page and my Settings. I check for an update via Settings>Device settings>Device preferences>About>System update (as instructed above). It tells me my system is up to date. When I go back to the Guide it is magically on My favourite channels and stays that way while I am watching. However the next day it has again reverted back to All Channels when I turn it on. ?!?!?! I don’t know if this information will help whoever is investigating this issue or if anyone at Telus really is investigating or even cares. Please stop trying to make your customers feel like we are doing something wrong and admit there is something seriously wrong with your technology.

We are now on update version 1.26.4.300 but the All Channels issue still isn’t fixed and I can see that many other people are also still having the same problem. It’s been almost a month of frustration now.

Almost a month? Those are rookie numbers. They don’t usually address an issue that isn’t 6 months + old.

Hi KHR,
Can we get a status of this "all Channels" issue?
I called again to follow-up (Case BOS-48134) but it sounds like it was closed because they found no "back-end" issues and sent it over to another department.
1. Does Telus acknowledge this as an issue?
2. Are thy working on a fix, and if introduced with a recent upgrade could we go back until it is fixed?
3. Where can we see what version we should be on and the release notes of updates?
Just to point out the importance of this - I have a spouse with alzheimers and an 89 year old mother. Between the issue of reverting to "ALL CHANNELS" and no way to bypass the home screen, it's very difficult for them to operate the TV by themselves.
Thanks

Can you try checking for an update via Settings > Device settings > Device Preferences > About > System update ?

Both our boxes had the correct version but were still showing All channels when turned on this morning. I went to Device Settings etc and forced another update on both. When I went back to the Guide, it finally went automatically to My Favourite. Hallelujah and thank you for finally fixing this issue!

Well that was short-lived! Both TV’s are now going back to All Channels. Noooooo!

Sadly I was wrong, like Temar my channels today are going back to "All Channels" Argggg :(
Not sure how long we have to wait since Telus Tech support has never gotten back to me after calling them weeks ago and escalating this issue.
