Telus TV Box
I was hoping someone would have some advice for me regarding my Telus TV box. It seems like everything was working fine and now the last couple days my Telus android boxes seem to be incompatible with my older smart tv and the hdmi port is not able to read anything at all. This older smart television is a smart aquos gb004wusa. I plugged in another box which was not a Telus box and it seems to work on this television no problem. The Telus boxes work no problem on my smart tv in my bedroom which may be a couple years newer than the other one.
I tried lowering the resolution on my Telus tv box to 720p and plugged it into my sharp aquos tv and still the television can’t seem to detect anything coming from the hdmi port. Yesterday was the first time the Telus box wasn’t able to work on that sharp aquos television so I swapped that Telus box for another spare one I had laying around and it worked fine all day yesterday and this morning when I turned it on it stopped working as well.
My guess is that Telus is constantly updating their Telus boxes and software and for that reason my older smart television is unable to read the Telus android anymore.
Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips I can use and try out?
Thanks for the reply. I swapped out the newer 8K HDMI cable for an older HDMI cable and that solved the problem.

I suspect HDCP. The model number you posted appears to be for the remote and not the TV so it's hard to know what version of HDCP your TV supports.
