Thanks for correcting me. I definately do not have an ONT 🙂
I was confusing ONT with what I think is an sfp optical module.
My setup:
wall -> fibre cable -> sfp optical module -> T3200M -> ethernet to old asus router
Could I simply take the T3200M out of the chain of devices and just plug the sfp optical module into a (new) router with an sfp port?

10 months agoWhile the SFP optical module does handle the fiber connection, we don’t officially support custom setups, including bypassing the TELUS-provided T3200M. If you choose to explore this option, you may find insights from the community where others have shared their experiences with similar setups.
